The Marshall Islands Soccer Federation, the governing body of the last country in the world to have never played an international football match, are delighted to announce our men’s national team squad for the upcoming 2025 Outrigger Challenge Cup.

A 20-man squad has been picked for the tournament, which will see our national team play their first men’s 11-a-side international fixtures.

The Marshall Islands Soccer Federation are looking forward to seeing our national team play established FIFA members the Turks & Caicos Islands and the US Virgin Islands at the 2025 Outrigger Challenge Cup, which will be held in Springdale, Arkansas, home to the largest Marshallese population outside of the nation itself, between Wednesday, 13th August and Saturday, 16th August.

We will meet the US Virgin Islands, ranked 207th in FIFA’s latest men’s world rankings, in our historic first-ever 11-a-side international on Thursday, 14th August (8pm CDT) before concluding against the Turks & Caicos Islands, ranked 206th, in our second and final game on Saturday, 16th August (1pm CDT).

Technical director Lloyd Owers has been tasked with leading the Marshall Islands national team at the 2025 Outrigger Challenge Cup. The Marshall Islands Soccer Federation would like to wish Lloyd and his backroom staff – and all the players selected to represent our nation – the best of luck for the tournament, and congratulate them on making history for our country.

The Marshall Islands Soccer Federation are still looking for parties interested in sponsoring the event. All 2025 Outrigger Challenge Cup matches will be live-streamed, with more details to follow shortly. For those wishing to watch in-person, we will also be making arrangements and sharing details in the coming weeks.
