Players required for the Marshall Islands Soccer League

The Marshall Islands Soccer Federation is inviting players from around the globe to play in the country’s first-ever 11-a-side football league.
The competition, which will be known as the Marshall Islands Soccer League, is due to launch in the Marshallese capital of Majuro in July 2026.

The inaugural campaign is scheduled to kick-off on August 14, 2026. The league, which will be contested by at least three teams, will span six gameweeks and include a cup
competition.

The winners of the first-ever Marshall Islands Soccer League will meet the champions of the neighbouring Kwajalein league in an inter-island play-off on September 25, 2026.

Prospective players will need to be in Majuro no later than July 25, 2026, with pre-season scheduled to get underway two days later. All matches and training sessions will be held at the Track & Field Stadium in Majuro.

This is a pay-to-play model, which includes access to global club scouts and player development pathways.

Technical Director, Lloyd Owers: “2026 is an important year for the development of soccer in the Marshall Islands. With the launch of XI aside competition on Majuro for the 1st time, we’ll be able to improve our locally based players, and welcome foreign players onto the island to experience life in RMI! It’s an exciting opportunity for any soccer explorer.
