What is Outrigger Coaches Academy?
The Outrigger canoe has been used for thousands of years by the Micronesian people to navigate the Pacific Ocean – to not only survive but to thrive.
In the world of soccer this region has long been overlooked, and the Outrigger Coaches Academy is looking to redress this inequality. By connecting Pacific Island communities by providing high quality coaching, frequent international matches, and sharing expertise in soccer development.
Growing soccer in the Pacific
Since 2020 the Marshall Islands Soccer Federation has been building a sustainably run soccer programme in the country. As part of this we are bringing in foreign countries to expedite our progression.

World class coaching
Led by British coach and Technical Director Lloyd Owers who is also an OFC-accredited educator. He is licensed to deliver OFC coaching courses which are recognized by governing bodies around the world.

The Marshall Islands Soccer Federation gained worldwide notoriety as the Last Nation on Earth without an international football team. We are on a mission to change this, by sustainably developing the sport in our nation and beyond. Our aim is to become a FIFA member by 2030.
