Marshall Islands 1st Ever Match
The last nation to play an international soccer match.. until now. History in the making as our men’s team takes to the pitch on July 12th and July 13th as we take another step towards our ultimate goal of competing in the World Cup.

Opposition
We welcome our closest neighbours, Kiribati and Federated States of Micronesia to Majuro, RMI to compete for the Outrigger Challenge Cup. Each team will compete against each other in a tri-team series and win the Outrigger Challenge Cup.
Significance
The Marshall Islands is the last nation on Earth to have ever played an international match. Founded in 2020 with the aim of providing opportunities for Marshallese children, the Soccer Federation is aiming to grow a lasting soccer legacy in our nation.

As we are not a member of a regional confederation, nor FIFA, we do not receive any external funding. This event is only possible with thanks to the support of our worldwide fanbase. We have captured the imagination of soccer fans the world over who have long waited for us to step onto the playing field for the first time.

The match is being played in Majuro, Republic of the Marshall Islands. Whilst we’d love to welcome you in-person, it’s likely that you’re best chance is watching this event online.
