Futsal is important for the development of soccer in the Marshall Islands. For a nation with limited space, especially for grass pitches, but with basketball courts in every village – futsal is a great sport for learning the fundamentals of soccer.
With quick transitions and plenty of touches, it is a great sport for those who are used to play other court-based sports.

Marshall Islands National Futsal Teams
Our Women’s National Futsal Team was the 1st representative soccer team of any kind, when they joined a training camp in February 2024.
Our Men’s National Futsal team also made history when they competed in July 2024, when we hosted the Outrigger Challenge Cup.
