The Marshall Islands Soccer Federation is extending a warm ‘iakwe’ to Sort It Out SI, who are sponsoring the federation as our ‘Official Coaching Partner’.
Sort It Out SI is a fansite for the computer game Football Manager that’s been running for nearly 20 years having first started out in December 2003. Although Football Manager is primarily a solo player game with no need to be online or connect to other players, like minded virtual managers have nonetheless come together to develop a unique online community at sortitoutsi which now boasts more than 2 million members. While many people are happy to simply post about their in-game exploits on the forums and share their “killer tactics”, the site really excels through its suite of collaborative tools that help its members share the burden of modding the game. By collaborating together members of sortitoutsi have been able to track and update the game with more than 720,000 real world transfers, recreate 320,000 real club kits, design logos for more than 94,000 clubs and competitions in 10 different styles and collect 1.6 million portrait photos of players and 228,000 photos of stadiums, all of which can be added to Football Manager to enhance the enjoyment of anyone playing. It’s this dedication and community spirit through which thousands of people have worked together on huge projects that sets sortitoutsi aside as truly one of a kind.

Sort It Out SI have signed a 2 year sponsorship deal which will see them through to the summer of 2025, and in addition to their logo adorning the coaches kit there are several additional activities in the pipeline, such as adding Marshall Islands Soccer to sortitoutsi’s unofficial Football Manager database offering fun Marshall Islands themed challenges that can be played in Football Manager.
The Sort It Out SI team had this to say; “We’re really excited to have this opportunity. We never thought we’d get to the point of being able to sponsor a football team, let alone an entire nation. Marshall Islands is the only nation left in the world without a football team so we’re really starting at the bottom here and as any hardcore FM fan like us knows, that’s the only place to start. We’re also keen to join the fight against climate change in any way we can. One of the hard truths of climate change is that it isn’t going to affect everyone equally, perhaps that’s why we still see so much inaction from some quarters. We want to address this by drawing attention to the localised effects of climate change and those on the frontline like the Marshall Islands.”
