Inter-island Tournaments

Marshall Islands geography

The capital and largest population center is Majuro, home to approximately half of the country’s population. The largest atoll with a land area of 6 square miles (16 km2) is Kwajalein. Ebeye is the most populous island of Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, and the second most populated island in the Marshall Islands.

Whilst most of MISF’s activity takes place in Majuro, we are proud of the growing activity taking place on Ebeye Island. Kwajalein is home to US citizens, and have a long-standing sporting and recreation department which includes a summer 7v7 league.

Competition

The goal of the Marshall Islands Soccer Federation is to give all Marshallese the opportunity to play soccer; regardless of which island or territory they live on.

As part of our roadmap this includes providing opportunities for players across Majuro, Kwajalein, and Ebeye to compete.

In January 2025 we hosted our 1st ever inter-island competition; which was due to include futsal and 9v9 soccer.

Although Ebeye withdrew their team from the competition, our team still held a youth soccer camp on the island – with 35 children taking part.

Team Majuro beat Team Kwajalein 7-4 in the futsal match; before drawing 2-2 with Kwajalein Spartans (High School).
