Boca crowned futsal kings

2026 Ratak Cup Futsal Match

Boca Lagoon are the new futsal kings of the Marshall Islands after clinching the 2026 Centennial 38 Ratak Cup.

The 2026 Centennial 38 Ratak Cup, held between March 28 and April 7, featured six newly-formed Marshallese futsal teams – Real Majuro, Ajeltake Arsenal, Boca Lagoon, Vasco de Laura, Clube de Rairok Flamengo and Rita Plate – and was the first tournament since 2024.

Boca Lagoon lifted the Ratak Cup after edging past plucky Vasco de Laura in the final. With the scores tied at 2-2 at the end of normal time, Kairos Zinihite struck in extra-time to secure the Spear Fishers’ first-ever Ratak Cup triumph.

Victory over Vasco crowned a sensational Ratak Cup for all-conquering Boca, who won all seven games at the tournament.

Boca topped the first round standings after winning all five of their group stage games. The Spear Fishers smashed 22 goals and conceded just seven as they took the maximum 15 points.

Vasco de Laura, who had to recruit players who came to watch the tournament after arriving unable to field a team, lost their opening two games but roared back to win their final three to finish second in the table.

Rairok Flamengo and Ajeltake Arsenal advanced to the semi-finals alongside Boca and Vasco after finishing third and fourth respectively. The Students notched up seven points from their five games, while Arsenal picked up six.

Rita Plate and Real Majuro, meanwhile, finished fifth and sixth respectively after recording just one win apiece.

Boca were rampant against Ajeltake in the first semi, smashing the Arsenal 9-2, before Vasco stunned Rairok 1-0 to secure their spot in the final.

And the third-placed play-off – played before the final – was a goalfest, Rairok Flamengo edging out Ajeltake Arsenal 5-4 in a thrilling game of futsal to take bronze.
